The U.S. Dream Academy is a national non-profit organization which provides after-school educational enrichment programs and mentoring services for children of prisoners, children with a family history of incarceration, and children who have fallen behind academically. the U.S. Dream Academy has opened a new center at John Marshall Middle School and we need you.

On-site Mentoring Program

Starts: March 1st, 2009

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.

Description
U.S. Dream Academy at John Marshall Middle School needs Mentors to volunteer to work with children enrolled in grades 3-8. Most sessions take place after school, in the evenings. and occasionally on Saturdays. Volunteers are asked to volunteer one hour a week for 1 year. And, you choose the day. The Dream Academy sponsors weekly on-site activities and quarterly field trips.
Notes / Special Requirements

Volunteers need to complete an application and back-ground screenings; skills and interest interview; and participate in "the Big Picture" Training session ad "Ice Breaker" activity.
