ROLE OVERVIEW: The greeter/guide volunteer assists the information desk personnel in greeting, escorting and assisting individuals entering and leaving the hospital.

AVAILABLE HOURS: 8:00AM to 9:00 PM seven days a week

Volunteers will:
Greet and welcome pediatric patients and visitors.
Direct patients and visitors to various departments in the hospital.
Provide basic information(hours of operation, visiting hours, etc.).
Provide coffee if desired.
Assist patients and visitors with location of family members, escorting when necessary.
Secure transportation for patients when requested (golf cart, shuttle, cab).
Act as messenger for department staff as needed.

ROLE OVERVIEW: The volunteer will be a public relations representative in all aspects of in-patient/family contact. He/she will welcome patients/families in their room, inquire about required video viewing, help with Skylight ACCESS/pillow speaker training and overview of system.

AVAILABLE HOURS: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.

ROLE OVERVIEW: Ambassador will assist staff members in the Surgery Waiting area by greeting and escorting families and visitors. Provide hospital information and tracking the location of families and friends of surgery patients.

AVAILABLE HOURS: 4 hour shifts between 6:00 AM and 4:00 PM

ROLE OVERVIEW: Ambassador will provide soothing music to enhance our healing environment. Providing music directly to the patients, families, and staff for their enjoyment.

AVAILABLE HOURS: Any hours between 11:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

ROLE OVERVIEW: The volunteer serves as an assistant to B.A.B.E. (Bed and Britches Etc) Store personnel in the daily operation of the shop.

AVAILABLE HOURS: B.A.B.E. Store is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 12- 4pm

ROLE OVERVIEW: Volunteers staff the CEIC Lounge to create an atmosphere of caring and comfort for the families and to provide a communication center for staff and families.

AVAILABLE HOURS: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 12:00 PM to 4: 00 PM Monday through Friday.

ROLE OVERVIEW: Perform non-technical skills and clerical tasks to assist associates on the pediatric unit. Support the unit with errands and non-technical patient/family support (ie: play/hold unattended children, relieve parents for short periods).

ROLE OVERVIEW: The volunteer assists in making patients comfortable and less anxious as well as assists the staff with their duties.

AVAILABLE HOURS: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

ROLE OVERVIEW: Checking in and delivering of flowers/gifts brought to the hospital for patients and associates.

AVAILABLE HOURS: Monday through Friday – 12:30 to 4:00

ROLE OVERVIEW: The volunteer serves as an assistant to the Gift Shop personnel in the daily operation of the shop.

AVAILABLE HOURS: Daily – Monday through Friday – Three Shifts of two to four hours; Weekends – One Shift of five hours.

ROLE OVERVIEW: Clerical work to support work of professional librarians.

AVAILABLE HOURS: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday

ROLE OVERVIEW: The volunteer will assist persons who are entering the Outpatient Entrance of the hospital.

AVAILABLE HOURS: Monday through Friday, 7:00-12:00 PM, 12:00-4:00 PM and 4:00 to 8:00 PM.

ROLE OVERVIEW: The volunteer will assist person who are entering the Inpatient Entrance of the hospital.

AVAILABLE HOURS: Monday thru Friday 7-12pm, 12-4pm, 4-7pm

ROLE OVERVIEW: The volunteer makes daily telephone calls to Prayer Outreach members who have requested daily scripture and prayer. The volunteer will refer further needs of the members to ancillary services of the hospital as needed.

AVAILABLE HOURS: Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Holidays when available from home.
