Since 1953, Noble of Indiana has pursued its mission of creating opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities to live meaningful lives. Each day, we help children with developmental delays and adults with developmental disabilities to pursue personally meaningful lives in the Central Indiana community through therapeutic treatments and innovative vocational and life skills training.

Facility Support

Groups can volunteer together at this opportunity.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.

Description
Assist with a variety of tasks to benefit our overall aperations, such as general maintenance, gardening/landscaping, washing vans, cleaning and/or painting.

Office Support

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.

Description
Assist with a variety of tasks to benefit our overall operations, such as helping with mailings, assembling binders, copying, shredding, and/or filing.

Special Events

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.

Description
You can assist with the planning and implementing of special events such as a Noble Evening in the Garden, Colts Fan Zones, Golf Classic, Annual Celebration and Participant Holiday Parties.

Direct Service

Starts: March 1st, 2009

Groups can volunteer together at this opportunity.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.

Description
Spend some time with adults with disabilities. At our adult Day Centers you cn share your talents, experiences and more with our consumers. Lead or assist a cooking project, music activity or leisure activity. You can help individuals e-mail friends and use the copmuter. You can assist individuals as they arrive and depart throughout the day and more.
Notes / Special Requirements
Will need to be between 8:00am and 3:30pm. You will need to fill out a volunteer application and Nobel will need to run a background check.

Art Therapy

Starts: March 1st, 2009

Groups can volunteer together at this opportunity.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.

Description
This volunteer activity would include assisting our Therapuetic Art Specialist with arts and crafts, such as drawing, painting, or whatever art activity is going on that day.

Recreational Therapy

Starts: March 1st, 2009

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.

Description
This volunteer activity will include assisting Noble's Recreational Therapist with basketball, music, sensory skills, exercise,sports and other leisure activities

Summer Day Camp Volunteer

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.

Description
Volunteer at a Summer Day Camp for Children with Developmental Disabilities: Noble of Indiana serves children ages 6-18 at various day camps throughout the summer. Youth One Sessions are for children ages 6-12 and Youth Two Sessions are for teenagers ages 13-18. You can help children with disabilities interact with typical peers through a variety of fun yet educational experiences. Activities will incorporate sensorimoter, musical, and socialization experiences. You will also help preteens with community service projects and practice how to be safe in the community. Your enthusiasm and energy are vital as we host our 3rd annual Summer Day Camp.

Notes / Special Requirements
The camp hours are 9am - 3:30pm; a small snack is provided but they will need to bring their own lunch.

All volunteers will need to fill out a Volunteer Application and attend a short orientation.
