The mission of the Association is to provide education, advocacy and service through programs designed to promote health; positively affect public attitudes and perceptions of mental illness through support and knowledge; and improve care and treatment of persons with mental illness.

Clinical Associate
Starts: March 1st, 2009
Volunteers must be at least 20 years old.
Description
Take calls for the crisis and suicide intervention service, the association’s 24/7 hotline. Callers will be dealing with issues such as suicide, depression, mental illness, substance abuse, and work and family issues. Clinical Associates help callers de-escalate the immediate crisis and move forward toward resolution.
Notes / Special Requirements
Clinical Associates must be mature and levelheaded as well as sensitive and tolerant of all different types of people. Must be available evenings, overnights, and/or weekends.
