Jireh Sports

Jireh Sports is a Christian based after-school mentoring program for children in and around the Martindale-Brightwood neighborhood of Indianapolis. Jireh uses non-traditional sports such as gymnastics, wrestling, rock climbing, and Tae Kwon Do, along with tutoring to build relationships with boys and girls.

Tutoring/Mentor

Starts: March 1st, 2009

Volunteers must be at least 15 years old.

Description
The objectives of the program are: To provide each child with a role model and mentor who is committed to the welfare of that child and committed to a long-term relationship. To provide a safe environment where a child can grow, learn and have fun. To provide challenges and the support needed to acquire the skills to meet those challenges. To involve youth in meaningful and significant ways during non-school hours. To supplement the child's education through tutoring and programs which enrich the child's overall life experience.
Notes / Special Requirements
No coaching or tutoring experience is necessary. Volunteers must be committed to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and desire to serve Him.

Mentoring/Tutor

Starts: March 1st, 2009

Volunteers must be at least 15 years old.
