Infozone Volunteer at Chidren's Museum

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
Description
The purpose of the Infozone Collection Support Volunteer is to provide valuable support to Library staff in maintaining the orderliness of the branch's collection so the public can readily access desired material. Additionally, Infozone Activity Volunteers are needed to interact and encourage young patrons to participate in defined activities during evening hours.
Open 10:00am - 5:00pm daily

INFOZONE Activity Volunteer at Children's Museum

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
Description
Once the Children's Museum closes, the patronage of the Infozone typically consists of youth from the immediate neighborhood. Our hope is to provide these young patrons with casual, interactive activities if they choose to participate.

Instant Storytime Volunteer
Starts: March 1st, 2009
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
Description
The purpose of Instant Storytime is to provide short spontaneous, and (ideally) frequent read aloud sessions to children who visit the library. Reading aloud supports reading readiness and ready fluency and comprehension. Older children can be tempted with a few pages read aloud from a chapter book, or even an article from a magazine.
