Hawthorne Social Service Association operates as a community center to provide recreational opportunities and to develop skills and attitudes which will improve the citizenship, ideas and individual moral, ethical, educational and social responsibilities of its members and to provide social services through information and referral.

GENERAL VOLUNTEER

Volunteers must be at least 14 years old.
Description
More than 200 volunteers enhance the center’s ability to reach more residents through programming and services. If you would like to volunteer, there are many different areas of the center’s operation. You can help out with daily programs such as before and after school programs, the childcare and the Senior Lunch Program or lend your professional services, such as office work, plumbing landscaping, computer technology, etc. Call 637-4312 about volunteer opportunities.
