Greenwood Lassie League

Since 1962, Greenwood Lassie League (GLL), a not-for-profit girl's softball organization, has been providing education and leadership for girls' ages 4-15 who want to learn the art of softball playing. This program gives the girls the opportunity to have fun over the summer months, while teaching them skills such as problem solving, hand-eye coordination, and how to be a team player. The league is run by volunteers who serve on the board and many members that do their part to help out. This past year, GLL had over 190 girls participating in the program, giving the organization 20 teams. Along with those girls are many volunteers including a Board of Directors, coaches, and many parents helping any way they can.
